Everything she does is presented by as so different from any other women. Joey is a women who races cars, like Drew. I really did not like what was done with Joey's character. I have some mixed feelings about this book because I really liked the relationship between Trent and Drew but there were some other parts that I really did not enjoy. If I had to compare this to something, I'd say this book is the cheapest of chocolates (possibly meant for nonhumans) that no one would really choose to eat, but when the only other option is broccoli and you're just having one of those days, it's more than easy to devour the whole bar in one go. There was next to no intentional humor in the book, but on the whole it tipped over on the ridiculous side, so I could read it as a parody where it went over board. Where some books with the above mentioned qualities might have had me chucking the book in the nearest fire, this one made me giggle. Not to mention the cheap ending, which left the romance completely unresolved with the mother of all romantic cliffhangers. The characters were caricaturish and the romance was corny and cliched. This was structurally poor and the plot was completely unoriginal. The writing wasn't good (even for romance) but it also wan't the worst out there. I think this book might be a little confused about what it wants to be.
